COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS | APRIL 3, 2020 UPDATE

April 3rd, 2020

Dear Residents, Family and Visitors,

We wanted to provide another update in our ongoing efforts to protect our residents from COVID-19 (coronavirus).

We are still following the same restrictions listed below, and will continue to send updates regarding any new restrictions that might be added in the future. One new procedure we have put in place is that all staff and essential visitors permitted to enter the facility are required to wear a mask at all times. This is an added effort to protect all our residents and coworkers.

Please keep in mind there are no time frames for the measures we are taking at this time. If and when we are provided with an anticipated date of being able to return to normal operating procedures, we will notify you.

Santa Marta is currently following these practices, which apply to the entire campus:

  • Visitors will not be permitted, with the exception of those visiting a resident in an
end-of-life situation or when a visitor is essential for the care of a resident.
  • Any visitor who is permitted to enter the facility will be required to complete a screening that will include a questionnaire and having their temperature taken.
They will also be required to wear a mask.
  • All essential Santa Marta staff members are required to complete a screening that will include a questionnaire and having their temperature taken. They will also be required to wear a mask.
  • We continue with no communal dining or activities, and regularly reinforce the practice of social distancing with staff, residents, and essential visitors when possible or practical.

Santa Marta continues to be dedicated to allowing families to communicate with their loved ones as much as possible. If you need assistance in communicating with your family member or loved one, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We are assisting residents with phone calls, FaceTime and video conferencing.

If you have any questions, concerns or comments, I encourage you to contact the Santa Marta Management team.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

The Santa Marta Team
