Friends and Family of Santa Marta,
As we look forward to Easter Weekend celebrations at Santa Marta, we feel very blessed to report encouraging news from our COVID-19 precautions to protect our community. We recently conducted another round of testing of residents and team members and all results were negative. As reported last week, we still have one team member who is recovering at home in isolation and is expected back at the community very soon.
As a result of this week’s testing, we are resuming indoor visitations for Healthcare residents. For a complete list of visitation protocols and/or to schedule a visit, please contact Admissions Director Riley Mason at 913-323-7175 between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
For Independent Living (IL), indoor visitations and some small group activities continue as usual, as well as resident apartment visits as long as the resident is fully vaccinated.
We are also excited to report that we continue to add more resident activities. In fact, our activities calendar is almost back to the level it was prior to the pandemic! This would not be possible if it wasn’t for collaborative and responsible efforts of all team members and residents to keep our community safe.
Below is our Easter services and activities for this weekend. NOTE: Mass services and The Chapel are open to IL residents only (no outside visitors). Healthcare residents may view Mass via broadcast.
- Good Friday (April 2) – Mass at 4:00 p.m.
- Holy Saturday (April 3) – Easter Mass at 4:00 p.m.
- Easter Sunday (April 4) – Easter Mass at 4:00 p.m.
- Easter Dinner (April 4) – plated meals served in Botticelli’s dining area
As a reminder, safety protocols including masks, social distancing and no large gatherings will remain in place at Santa Marta for the foreseeable future despite the ongoing lifting of some restrictions. Thank you for your help in supporting the safety and well-being of all of our residents, staff, and other visitors.
Thank you, God bless and Happy Easter!
