COVID-19 Update | August 21, 2020

Friends and Family of Santa Marta,

More great news to share as our community maintains its status of no active cases of COVID-19.

We remain steadfast with our ongoing bi-weekly testing efforts for all healthcare staff. Our latest round resulted in zero positive tests and our next round of will commence next Wednesday, August 26. We will keep you apprised of results and any other significant updates.

Due to the reported spike in positive tests in Johnson County and surrounding areas, we have temporarily suspended outdoor visitations with residents at our community, effective today. Please click here for more information on the temporary halt and conditions necessary to resume outdoor visits.

We will continue to allow and encourage window visits as well as video calls to ensure residents can see their loved ones as much as possible. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.

Haircuts for residents continue, with prudent use of masks and other PPE, as well as proper hand hygiene. However, this service remains limited in skilled nursing.

We are staying strong, fighting the good fight, and we know we will see even brighter days ahead. The integrity of our team members, perseverance from our residents and support from families keeps our spirits high.

Thank you and God bless.

Chet Surmaczewicz
